We were attracted to this park because of the photo's on their website and it stated it is on the beach, and on the Gulf Of Mexico. Actually, they are on the Bay of Apalachicola (brackish water) & what they call a beach is mud and grass. It is not a beach that you can go swimming or enjoy. The view is good though. This park is primarily a fishing park. They have mostly 30 amp connections and limited 50 amp. with gravel and sand sites. Being beach people we would not camp here again. The hosts were friendly and mentioned that she should have told us about the beach on check-in.

This is an older park and like all of New Orleans needs some repairs, but over all the condition is good. The concrete pads are large but over the years has settled and are not level any more. If you are going to the French Quarter it is about a 15 mile trip. The staff was friendly and eager to assist you in any way they could. A young man that was assisting us in backing in nearly got us hit by a pickup truck that was coming by and he got us on the wrong site, but we didn't have to move, they just changed out sites. Just was a close call. There were a lot of campers coming and going during our 3 day stay, this is a very busy campground. If using a GPS or Map Quest you will be taken through some back narrow streets which is not necessary, just get off I-10 at Williams Blvd & go south to Jefferson Ave. We would stay at this park again.

Very nice park, a little off the interstate but worth the drive. We stayed just one night as we were traveling through the area. The concrete pads are very level. Hook-ups are located for easy access and connection. The park appears to be fairly new and in excellent condition. We would stay here again.

Very nice park with a friendly staff. This is a good park to stay to see the pigs in Lexington, have some BBQ, and go the Childress Winery. The park is paved roads with gravel sites. Had it rained it would have been muddy as the gravel is getting a little thin. They have boat rentals and fishing in the lake. Quite a few permanents are here too. We would stay here again.

Overall a very nice campground, we stayed here 3 days and would stay here again. Seemed a little pricey given the number of campgrounds in the area but we guess it is because of Nashville & The Grand Ole Opry is approx. 2 miles away. There is a lot to see and do in this area. The staff is friendly and really go out of their way to make sure everything is going right. Make sure to check out the calendar for the park as they have entertainment one or two nights a week.

This was an overnight stop for us. They were almost full when we got there but fit us in. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Sites were level and well maintained. It was easy off and on to get to the park from I-65. We would stay there again.

We stayed here in Feb. and liked the park and the area so we stopped again. They are now a Passport America member so it was $23 a night which included a upgrade to an elite site (concrete pad & patio). We were told the park has new owners & they may have Wi-Fi by next year but no cable TV as they are in the county & cable will not come out into the county. The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. This time of year they only have about 60 full time residents so we pretty much had the place to ourselves. We will probably stop here again.

Very nice park. Just off I-10 far enough that you don't have any road noise. The park is fairly new with level gravel sites. Hook-ups are conveniently located & the owner is on site helping you get set up. A plus was he told us about how the Blue Angles would be practicing at the Pensacola Naval Air Station the next day (approx. a 15 mile drive). Apparently they have practice at least 2 days a week. We went & it is a great show, all free, you are seated very close to the show, and volunteers let you know which way the jets will be coming from. The Navel Aviation Museum is also there for viewing. We would stay at this park again.

This was a great park for the price. Two blocks from the Gulf beaches. We would have given it a 10 if a pool was available, but with the beach so close it is not needed. Another park just down the road was $114. a night and the sites were much closer together and the walk to the beach was more than 2 blocks. This park is well designed with angled back-ins and the hook-ups are all in just the right place. The concrete pads are level and include a concrete patio. The owner is on site and very friendly & knowledgeable about the area. We would definitely stay here again.

The only thing I can say bad about this park is the lack of shade trees. The staff is excellent and everything is clean and well maintained. We had an excellent view of the lake. They have fishing and boat rentals too. Beware, and the staff will tell you on check-in, they have about 110 psi water pressure, so a regulator is a must. They have plenty of room between the sites. We would stay here again.

This is a very well maintained CG with 3 lakes. You can fish in any of them & there is a swimming beach on one of the lakes. However, you can't really swim there due to the Canadian Geese that seem to use the beach, they really leave a mess. The fishing is restricted to certain areas, not sure why though. The roads are gravel and very dusty, it was cool enough one day to leave the windows open but couldn't due to the dust. A security guard patrols the grounds and creates a lot of the dust with his golf cart, he also takes his job just a little to seriously. He loves to blow his whistle. Didn't happen to us, but saw him several times getting after people. Due to having relatives in the area we would probably stay here again.

This park is right off I-64 and is just what it says it is, "Overnight RV Park". The park is on top of a mountain; any which way you look is down. It is all grass and the sites are not all that level, but the view is absolutely beautiful, making up for the sites. Deer were wondering in close in the evening and again in the morning & birds were everywhere too. When John Denver sang that West Virginia was almost heaven he must have been referring to this area. The host was very accommodating and assisted in set-up. We would definitely stop here again.

Camped here for 4 days in Feb. Was told they had pull-thru sites when reservation was made but found out otherwise when we got there. No escort to the site, just a map. Staff knew the area well for sites to see and suggestions on what to do. A lot of permanents, sites were large, no shade around.
